For the first official blog, I'd like to take sometime to tell you about myself and the brewery. My name is John Kivelin, and I recently transitioned out of the service, where I spent 23 years in the Marine Corps infantry officer. Between overseas deployments, I brewed at home for five years, I transitioned from the service to assist Jerry Aumand in opening and running a nano-brewery that makes three beers weekly to be served only at the Lionheart Pub and Brewery. We began brewing our first batch on Sunday, 29 September 2019 with an Irish Red Ale.
Brewery Goal: Engage with the local community, serving great craft beer using the best ingredients we can get our hands on.
